Responsibilities
- Influence the roadmap and your career objectives.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver new features and iterate based on results.
- Drive projects from initial idea to operational deployment.
- Contribute to open-source projects beyond your team's scope.
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems.
- Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of services.
- Support team members and engage in design discussions.
- Learn about the cloud product and the codebase of a large distributed system.
Requirements
- Solid experience with at least one programming language, preferably Go.
- Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering to shipping.
- Experience with cloud software development or systems engineering.
- Experience with on-call duties and the DevOps model.
- Ability to write clean, robust, and maintainable software.
- Familiarity with observability systems and debugging with metrics, logs, and traces.
