Base Salary
$122k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, operations, and infrastructure teams to build application experiences.
- Implement user interfaces and develop reusable software components for back-end platforms.
- Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, performance, and scalability.
- Lead complex technical or product efforts, set technical direction, and provide guidance to peers.
- Architect efficient and scalable systems and resolve performance and scalability issues.
- Develop machine learning models at scale from inception through business impact.
- Establish end-to-end ownership of components, features, or systems.
- Apply responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality reviews.
Requirements
- 2+ years of programming experience in a relevant language, or a PhD plus 9 months of programming experience in a relevant language.
- Currently holds or is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience; the degree must be completed before joining.
- Experience building maintainable and testable codebases, including API design and unit testing techniques.
- Track record of setting technical direction, driving consensus, and building successful cross-functional partnerships.
- Preferred experience in machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
- Preferred experience developing machine learning models at scale and working with large-scale software architectures.
- Preferred experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python, JavaScript, Hack, C, C++, Java, Perl, PHP, or shell scripts.
- Ability to translate insights into business recommendations and improve quality through reviews, testing, rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes.
- Experience integrating AI tools, applying responsible AI practices, and developing prompt/context engineering or agent orchestration skills.
Benefits
- Base pay of $121,992/year to $181,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
