Responsibilities
- Own the operational excellence, reliability, and scalability of Proton Meet as a 24/7 service.
- Research, develop, load test, and roll out new services and infrastructure.
- Partner with software engineers to implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and on-call readiness.
- Debug and resolve production issues and incidents.
- Use AI agents for coding, incident response, and stress testing.
- Participate in on-call rotations while collaborating with teammates across continents.
Requirements
- Deep experience with Linux systems and Internet technologies including DNS, TLS, HTTP, and WebSockets.
- Deep experience with infrastructure automation using Puppet, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Experience managing HAProxy load balancing, PostgreSQL data storage, and NATS messaging systems.
- Experience with AI agents for coding, incident response, and stress testing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate across continents, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- WebRTC and real-time streaming experience is a bonus.
