Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Drive execution of Adyen’s AI strategy through practical applications of generative AI and other AI methodologies in finance.
- Contribute to AI-agent data analysis and operational workflows, human-in-the-loop integrity-risk work, and foundation-model development.
- Implement research papers as robust, scalable, production-ready code and promote high engineering and scientific-quality standards.
- Help define Adyen’s long-term vision for AI’s interaction with consumers, merchants, financial institutions, and human operators.
- Consider regulation and advocate for safe AI innovation.
- Take on flexible, value-driven assignments and unblock teams to maximize organizational impact.
- Mentor and provide horizontal sponsorship across the organization while sharing problem-solving practices.
- Pair with engineering teams on deep technical challenges, proof-of-concepts, and critical performance issues.
- Engage with startups, venture capital firms, and AI labs to track advancements and identify partnership opportunities.
Requirements
- Significant experience and strong understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models.
- Strong engineering mindset with a track record of writing clean, efficient, scalable production code.
- Demonstrated experience implementing cutting-edge AI research papers into production-quality code.
- Strong awareness of the scientific AI research community and current state-of-the-art advancements.
- Ability to solve complex cross-team problems, influence strategic direction, and foster innovation.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, executives, and public audiences.
- Ability to build trust-based collaborations through empathy, influence, negotiation, relationship building, and conflict resolution.
- Product sense and ability to identify impactful AI use cases are preferred.
- Experience at AI-enabled fintech companies is preferred.
- Familiarity with classical machine learning concepts is preferred.
- Experience with conferences and publications is preferred.
- Experience working with on-premise infrastructure is preferred.
