Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Drive execution of Adyen’s AI strategy through practical applications of Generative AI and other AI methodologies in finance.
- Contribute to AI agents for data analysis and operational workflows, human-in-the-loop integrity risk systems, and foundation model development.
- Implement research papers as robust, scalable, production-ready code and champion engineering quality and scientific alignment.
- Help define Adyen’s long-term AI vision, including how AI interacts with consumers, merchants, financial institutions, and human operators.
- Address regulation and promote safe innovation while developing transformative solutions to real-world problems.
- Provide mentorship and horizontal sponsorship across the organization and share engineering knowledge and best practices.
- Pair with engineering teams on deep technical challenges, proof-of-concepts, and critical performance issues.
- Engage with startups, venture capital firms, AI labs, and the broader AI community to identify advances and partnership opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of current AI research and state-of-the-art advancements.
- Significant experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models.
- Strong engineering background with a record of writing clean, efficient, scalable production code.
- Demonstrated experience implementing cutting-edge AI research papers in production-quality code.
- Ability to solve complex cross-team problems, influence strategic direction, and foster innovation.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, executives, and public audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills involving empathy, influence, negotiation, relationship building, and conflict resolution.
- Product sense and ability to identify impactful AI use cases are preferred.
- Experience in AI-enabled fintech, classical machine learning, conferences or publications, and on-premise infrastructure are preferred.
