Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain low-latency Java applications for electronic FX trading systems.
- Build and enhance connectivity, market data, pricing, hedging, and algorithmic trading components with front-office teams.
- Implement FIX-based and other market connectivity workflows to support robust execution and data integrity.
- Optimize multithreaded, garbage-collection-aware, real-time systems for ultra-low latency and high throughput.
- Design and maintain performance metrics and KPIs, and troubleshoot production issues using packet analysis and Solace diagnostics.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams and participate in code reviews, design sessions, and architecture discussions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Core Java experience, including multithreading, concurrency, and low-latency techniques.
- Proven front-office experience in FX or electronic trading environments.
- Experience with connectivity, market data, core pricing, and hedging strategies.
- Deep understanding of FIX protocol and electronic trading workflows.
- Expertise in Linux-based development, performance tuning, garbage-collection-aware coding, and machine-level optimization.
- Strong knowledge of Solace messaging, networking fundamentals, 10GbE, and multicast environments.
- Experience with Wireshark or similar tools for packet analysis and latency diagnostics.
- Exposure to crypto trading platforms or digital asset markets is desirable.
- Familiarity with machine sympathy, high-performance system design, real-time mission-critical applications, message buses, and performance-monitoring frameworks is desirable.
