Responsibilities
- Build the agentic coding harness that enables non-frontend developers to ship polished, reliable, and consistent UI.
- Refine and maintain the design system and design language.
- Own core componentry and abstractions that enforce consistency across workflows and accelerate developers and coding agents.
- Own the UI testing framework and ensure reliable software delivery.
- Maintain a high frontend code-quality bar through thoughtful reviews and coaching of backend-oriented developers.
- Build agentic UI/UX, including chat interfaces and generative UI, for customers using Outtake’s security agents.
- Contribute as a product engineer to end-to-end product development as needed.
Requirements
- Proficiency with React and TypeScript is required, with NextJS familiarity preferred.
- Strong product taste and design sensibilities are required, ideally including experience building design systems.
- Experience building complex systems with coding agents and the judgment to assess their output is required.
- Must be comfortable operating in ambiguity, making tradeoffs, and shipping without perfect specifications.
- Must be comfortable collaborating with engineers, non-technical teammates, and customers.
- Must be comfortable working across the stack and building end-to-end products.
- Experience with B2B SaaS products, preferably in cybersecurity or related fields, is a plus.
- Experience with shadcn, trpc, react-hook-form, or Vercel AI SDK is a plus.
- Experience building agentic UI/UX is a plus.
- Experience as a designer or design engineer is a plus.
- Prior startup experience or a record of thriving in high-ownership environments is a plus.
