Base Salary
$180k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the next-generation identity platform supporting authentication, authorization, SSO, and account federation.
- Develop and scale high-performance Golang microservices for user identity, access tokens, and permission enforcement.
- Collaborate with security, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to implement Zero Trust principles and access governance.
- Integrate IAM standards and protocols including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM.
- Mentor engineering teams on secure service design, identity best practices, and cross-service communication.
- Partner with product teams on scalable and compliant player login, entitlement management, and account-linking features.
- Define API and data security standards and support compliance initiatives.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party or open-source identity frameworks for a hybrid identity strategy.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend or systems engineering experience, including 5+ years designing and implementing authentication and authorization services.
- Expert-level Golang skills and experience building and scaling distributed, event-driven microservices.
- Proven experience with identity federation, token management, and access control systems.
- In-depth understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and SCIM.
- Knowledge of security principles, encryption, key management, and secrets management systems such as HashiCorp Vault and AWS KMS.
- Experience building highly available systems in Kubernetes-based environments using AWS or GCP.
- Strong architectural vision and ability to influence cross-team technology direction.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams.
- Preferred experience with identity systems for gaming or SaaS ecosystems, multi-tenant architectures, ReBAC/ABAC models, policy-as-code, OPA, authorization frameworks, security engineering, DevSecOps, compliance automation, or open-source Golang contributions.
