Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and delivery of agentic-first subsystems, including service architecture, data models, and agent/tool integrations.
  • Orchestrate long-running, multi-agent workflows across decomposition, implementation, testing, review, and rollout.
  • Own major product initiatives from ambiguous requirements through technical design, multi-team execution, deployment, and ongoing operability.
  • Define evaluation systems, test harnesses, guardrails, observability, and review practices for confidently shipping agent-generated code.
  • Set technical direction and engineering practices for agentic software development, including internal playbooks, tooling, and rituals.
  • Own performance, reliability, security, and other non-functional requirements, with emphasis on software supply chain threats.
  • Partner with Product, Security Research, UX, and Support leaders to translate customer needs into technical plans.
  • Conduct design reviews, mentor Senior engineers, and help shape the technical roadmap and engineering hiring bar.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience and a record of leading multi-quarter technical initiatives across multiple teams or services.
  • Production experience designing, operating, and scaling multi-agent systems and long-running agent workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with agent orchestration, MCP tooling, shared context and memory, agent handoffs, and evaluation harnesses.
  • Strong Java, cloud, and large-scale distributed systems experience, including performance tuning, data-intensive services, and production operability.
  • Working knowledge of software supply chain security, including SBOM formats, software composition analysis, provenance, signing, vulnerability analysis, and package ecosystem attacks.
  • Experience defining agentic engineering practices, leading internal rollouts, publishing or open-sourcing work, or otherwise advancing the field.
  • Ability to make independent product decisions and drive scope, trade-offs, and sequencing.
  • Strong technical leadership, judgment, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Benefits
