Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-reliability C++ and Rust software for embedded, real-time, and Linux-based systems.
- Implement system and software requirements with end-to-end traceability through verification.
- Design, document, and evolve software architecture using UML and model-based artifacts.
- Apply open architecture, modularity, abstraction, interface-based design, portability, reuse, and interoperability principles.
- Develop and integrate software across Linux-based, cross-compiled, embedded, edge, lab, platform, and Big Iron environments.
- Support Common SDK, OCE, CFE, MOSA-aligned, and reusable software framework implementations.
- Define and implement internal and external interfaces for loosely coupled, component-oriented, service-oriented, and event-driven architectures.
- Build, deploy, integrate, troubleshoot, and validate software across multiple targets and platform configurations.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests while improving automation and code coverage.
- Support build, test, static analysis, security scanning, coverage, and artifact publication pipelines.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, integration and lab teams, platform teams, and peer developers on architecture, delivery, and defect resolution.
- Produce technical documentation and provide technical leadership in software design, secure coding, development practices, and architectural consistency.
- Support integration into broader platform and mission-system environments and ensure compliance with external interfaces and reference architectures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years of professional C/C++ development and 5+ years developing embedded real-time software.
- Preferred experience includes 5+ years of hardware/software integration and lab validation and 3+ years of professional Rust development.
- Preferred experience includes 3+ years of software architecture and design using UML, requirements-driven development, automated testing, and CI tools.
- Experience with embedded, performance-sensitive, safety-focused, secure, distributed, or mission-critical software is preferred.
- Experience with Linux systems programming, cross-compilation, deployment, interoperability, portability, reuse, and long-term software sustainment is preferred.
- Experience across Linux, Windows, and RTOS environments such as VxWorks or Real-Time Linux is preferred.
- Electronic warfare, RF/signal-processing, defense or aerospace, government or DoD architecture, and standards-driven integration knowledge is preferred.
- Experience with high-performance compute, server-class, or Big Iron deployment and integration is preferred.
- Experience with package repositories, automated code quality and security checks, static analysis, code coverage, SAST/SCA, and UML/SysML modeling tools is preferred.
- Up to 10% travel to customer and test sites is required.
