Base Salary
$135k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-reliability C++ and Rust software for embedded, real-time, and Linux-based systems.
- Implement system and software requirements with end-to-end traceability through verification.
- Design, document, and evolve software architecture using UML and model-based artifacts.
- Apply open-architecture principles including modularity, abstraction, portability, interface-based design, and reuse.
- Develop and integrate software across Linux-based, cross-compiled, embedded, edge, and larger-scale compute environments.
- Build, deploy, integrate, and troubleshoot software across multiple targets, lab environments, and platform configurations.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests while improving automation and code coverage.
- Support CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, static analysis, security scanning, coverage, and artifact publication.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, integration and lab teams, platform teams, and peer developers.
- Provide technical leadership in software design, secure coding, development practices, and architectural consistency.
- Produce technical documentation for verification, maintainability, operations transition, and architectural compliance.
- Support integration with broader platform and mission-system environments and external interfaces.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of relevant experience, graduate degree and 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret Clearance is required.
- 7+ years of professional C/C++ software development experience.
- 5+ years developing software for embedded real-time systems and supporting hardware/software integration and lab validation.
- 3+ years of professional Rust development experience.
- 3+ years of software architecture and design using UML and requirements-driven development.
- 3+ years of automated testing and CI tools experience, including tools such as CMake, GoogleTest, and Jenkins.
- Experience with build and dependency tools such as CMake and Conan.
- Experience applying MOSA principles in defense, aerospace, electronic warfare, or other mission-critical systems.
- Experience with Linux systems programming, cross-compilation, and deployment in distributed or embedded environments.
- Experience across Linux, Windows, and RTOS environments such as VxWorks or Real-Time Linux.
- Domain knowledge in electronic warfare and RF/signal-processing environments.
- Familiarity with government or DoD architectural frameworks, reference architectures, and standards-driven integration.
- Experience with package repositories, automated code-quality and security checks, Black Duck tools, and UML/SysML modeling tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo.
- Experience defining software interfaces and integrating components into larger mission systems.
- Experience supporting high-performance compute, server-class, or Big Iron environments.
