Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end ServiceNow solution architecture from discovery and option analysis through design, build, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.
- Translate business and technical requirements into architecture blueprints, solution designs, data models, integration designs, technical specifications, and architecture decision records.
- Define and govern platform architecture principles, reusable patterns, development standards, security controls, and technical guardrails.
- Design secure, resilient, maintainable, and upgradeable ServiceNow solutions using baseline capabilities while minimizing unnecessary customization and technical debt.
- Architect integrations using APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, identity and access controls, and enterprise data exchange patterns.
- Lead ServiceNow data and service model architecture, including CMDB, CSDM, service relationships, data ownership, lifecycle, reconciliation, and governance.
- Lead architecture workshops and design reviews, document trade-offs and risks, and secure stakeholder alignment.
- Review and approve detailed designs and critical configurations while guiding developers and implementation partners.
- Address performance, scalability, availability, security, privacy, compliance, observability, disaster recovery, and supportability requirements.
- Maintain architecture documentation and support release, upgrade, environment, testing, and operational-readiness planning.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and mentor architects, developers, product teams, and delivery partners.
Requirements
- Extensive experience architecting and delivering complex, enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions.
- Strong experience as a ServiceNow Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Platform Architect.
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, scoped applications, configuration and customization boundaries, data and security models, integration patterns, release management, and upgrade considerations.
- Ability to create and defend architecture blueprints, solution designs, governance standards, technical decisions, and long-term roadmaps.
- Expertise in one or more ServiceNow product areas and the ability to design cross-product solutions using shared platform services.
- Strong understanding of CMDB, CSDM, service modelling, data governance, integrations, identity and access, platform security, performance, and operational support.
- Proven experience leading architecture reviews, resolving complex technical issues, managing architectural risk, and guiding delivery teams and implementation partners.
- Experience with enterprise architecture, ITIL practices, Agile delivery, testing, release management, and production transition.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, written English, and spoken English skills.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is desirable.
- Relevant Certified Implementation Specialist credentials are desirable.
- Certified Application Developer certification is desirable.
- Certified Technical Architect or Certified Master Architect certification is a strong asset.
- Experience with global platform or enterprise transformation programs is desirable.
