Responsibilities

  • Design and build agent orchestration layers covering workflow state, event-driven agent execution, and next-best-action logic.
  • Integrate LLMs through provider-agnostic layers using Anthropic, OpenAI, and Writer.ai.
  • Implement structured outputs, tool-calling, retries, guardrails, and model-routing strategies.
  • Transform documents, transcripts, and business records into reliable, actionable data.
  • Build human-in-the-loop approval workflows for high-impact decisions.
  • Establish evaluation and tuning loops to measure agent quality and improve system behavior.
  • Identify and address non-deterministic failure modes through testing, observability, and guardrails.
  • Collaborate with frontend, product, client, and domain stakeholders to deliver complete solutions.
  • Use Claude Code and Codex AI coding agents in the software development workflow.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to executive and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience shipping production software.
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agentic applications using tool-calling, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt iteration.
  • Strong TypeScript and Node.js experience, or deep software engineering expertise in another ecosystem such as Python.
  • Experience with an orchestration framework such as LangGraph.js, Vercel AI SDK, or Mastra.
  • Experience with provider SDKs such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or Writer.ai.
  • Experience designing scalable systems on AWS.
  • Ability to parse, extract, validate, and structure unstructured data.
  • Evaluation-driven approach to measuring and improving agent performance.
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments and turn undefined problems into actionable solutions.
  • Product-minded approach connecting architecture and model decisions to measurable user value.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining agent pipelines to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • B2+ English proficiency.
  • Experience delivering AI solutions in regulated or high-stakes industries such as legal, healthcare, or fintech is a plus.
  • Experience building automated evaluation harnesses for LLM systems is a plus.
  • Experience with voice, transcript, or document-intensive workflows is a plus.
  • Experience with Next.js, open-source agent projects, or Writer.ai is a plus.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, agile consulting environment.
