Responsibilities
- Develop, automate, and maintain tests for automation and embedded systems.
- Design and improve test environments, simulators, and test rigs.
- Develop and improve firmware and software tests, including integration and regression tests.
- Develop tools for analysis, troubleshooting, and verification.
- Ensure the quality of firmware and software deliveries.
- Drive improvements in test automation, quality assurance, and release management.
- Contribute to and eventually lead the electronics team’s long-term test and release strategy.
- Take ownership over time of the electronics team’s test equipment, automated test systems, and release deliveries.
Requirements
- Higher education or an engineering degree in computer engineering, automation, mechatronics, electronics, or a related field.
- Experience with software testing and test automation.
- Experience with hardware-near programming.
- Good understanding of system testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting.
- Programming knowledge in Python, C, or a similar language.
- Experience with Python test frameworks or similar frameworks.
- Experience with version control using Git.
- Good Swedish and English language skills.
- Experience with Beckhoff/TwinCAT is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Structured Text and IEC 61131-3 is advantageous.
- Experience with EtherCAT, OPC-UA, or industrial communication protocols is advantageous.
- Experience with hardware-near testing and verification is advantageous.
- Experience with Linux, CI/CD, automated test environments, safety-critical systems, or machine control is advantageous.
