Base Salary
$169k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production software implementing healthcare interoperability standards including FHIR and HL7.
- Develop and test APIs, services, and data pipelines handling FHIR resources and HL7 messages.
- Translate standards and implementation guides into code, data models, validation logic, and automated tests.
- Preserve clinical meaning and data quality as information moves between systems.
- Clean, normalize, and improve healthcare data quality.
- Help define development practices, write tests, document key implementations, and collaborate with Product Managers and operational staff on new features.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building production software with FHIR and HL7.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- Experience writing SQL queries with Postgres, MySQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, or other database systems.
- Comfort working as a data engineer focused on cleaning, normalizing, and improving data quality.
- Ability to create and call RESTful APIs; gRPC experience is a plus.
- Experience with cloud services such as GCP or AWS.
- Curiosity, pragmatism, collaborative working style, ownership, and interest in applying technology to healthcare.
