Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and document Java-based enterprise applications across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop full-stack web applications with Java/Spring Boot backend services and React-based frontend components.
- Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, event-driven services, and cloud-native applications.
- Participate in Agile software delivery, sprint planning, Scrum processes, code development, and technical community activities.
- Develop and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Use Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for service orchestration.
- Apply GitHub Copilot and other AI tools to improve development efficiency and propose AI-enabled product approaches.
- Troubleshoot coding, application performance, architecture, and design issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leadership while managing escalations, bottlenecks, risks, and technical standards.
- Streamline or automate recurring architecture, build, delivery, production operations, and business processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree.
- Minimum of 8 years of proven software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java, JavaScript frameworks such as React, Spring Boot, and Oracle.
- Knowledge of application architecture, data structures, object-oriented principles, service-oriented architecture, microservices, event-driven services, and cloud-native development.
- Experience developing frontend interfaces with React, HTML5, and CSS.
- Experience developing backend logic and APIs using Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, relational database management systems, REST, and GraphQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools including Maven, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, and OpenShift.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise and practical knowledge of version control.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA.
- AWS experience is considered an advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, conduct root-cause analysis, communicate effectively, and manage risks.
