Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities
- Develop embedded firmware that configures, controls, and monitors Ethernovia networking devices.
- Interface firmware with host systems through device drivers to expose hardware features.
- Architect, design, implement, test, and integrate firmware into Ethernovia’s SDK.
- Develop firmware for safety-critical automotive applications under functional-safety and development best practices.
- Optimize code for footprint and performance and integrate low-level software with hardware and embedded processors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in C and C++; Python experience is a plus.
- Experience with firmware, embedded firmware, communication devices, hardware, embedded processors, and low-level code integration and testing.
- Expertise in efficient code practices for code footprint and performance.
- Preferred experience with simulation and emulation platforms, compilers, debugging suites, embedded programming, hardware buses, automotive safety-critical systems, communication protocols, version control, and automation tools.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle fundamentals, including architecture, implementation, and testing.
- Strong communication, documentation, independent-work, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
