Base Salary
$161k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build the foundation of Torc’s AI development tooling.
- Develop data science models and algorithms using disciplined software development, version control, code reuse, and documentation practices.
- Define and implement ingestion, preparation, curation, and governance processes for large datasets with Data Ops.
- Develop machine learning workflows including exploratory data analysis, deep learning model development, batch inference, metric computation, and embedded deployment.
- Lead projects and guide less experienced team members through project execution.
- Provide insights through visualization and improved data accessibility.
- Create standards and guidelines for analytics and machine learning models, deployment, and related processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and teams across the organization to evaluate and implement emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field plus 6+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in one of these fields plus 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in machine learning workflows, data science models, analytics, and software development practices.
- Ability to evaluate frontier technologies and determine what is practical to implement at scale.
- Ability to communicate outcomes and progress so other teams can reliably implement findings.
- Comfort with ambiguity, resilience, and projects that may not reach production.
- Ability to lead projects and guide less experienced team members.
