Responsibilities
- Create and execute manual and automated test plans and test cases across Alexa product components and features.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and extend existing test frameworks for new feature releases.
- Troubleshoot and isolate defects, document reproduction steps, analyze root causes, and collaborate with developers on resolution.
- Assess change-request impacts on test scope and product behavior and provide quality recommendations to product owners.
- Participate in defect triage, test planning, prioritization, and testing-process improvement.
- Advocate for customers and drive quality campaigns for multilingual Alexa features and devices across global markets.
Requirements
- Fluent German speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in quality assurance engineering, automation testing, and manual testing.
- Experience troubleshooting issues, performing root-cause analysis, and applying software-testing techniques and the software testing life cycle.
- Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and management to collect requirements and develop processes and tools.
- Experience running or troubleshooting code in at least one modern programming language.
- Preferred experience designing test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets for adequate coverage.
- Preferred experience with API and mobile testing and UI/API automation testing using Selenium or SOAPUI.
- Preferred knowledge of Java, Perl, or Python-based automation.
