Responsibilities
- Lead R&D and proof-of-concept deliveries for cloud-native Java and React solutions.
- Set technical direction and own end-to-end architecture decisions.
- Build secure integrations using REST and agent-to-agent protocols.
- Drive initiatives involving testing, deployment, observability, operability, and security.
- Establish software engineering practices and mentor DevOps and software engineers.
- Promote AI-assisted tooling and support delivery through Scrum Master or Product Owner responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Several years of full-stack software engineering experience with deep production-level Java expertise and knowledge of OOP, SOLID, and Spring.
- Experience building component-based web applications, with React and TypeScript proficiency strongly valued.
- Strong SQL skills covering schema design, query performance, transactions, and data integrity.
- Strong Docker and Kubernetes knowledge, including containerization decisions and cluster troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with AWS services including EKS, RDS, IAM, networking, and observability.
- Experience setting technical direction and introducing AI-assisted workflows into software development.
- Preferred: LLM or agent development experience, including function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, or MCP.
- Preferred: experience with OAuth2/OIDC, scopes, token flows, Terraform or OpenTofu, and secure API authorization architectures.
- Preferred: fintech, capital markets, or regulated-industry experience.
