Base Salary
$173k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, test, document, and debug embedded software systems primarily in C and C++.
- Design and prototype embedded systems on commercial and custom hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define requirements and set software technical direction.
- Establish best practices for software design, implementation, integration, and verification.
- Integrate and troubleshoot hardware/software interfaces across embedded and RF/SDR-connected platforms.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers through technical guidance and reviews.
Requirements
- Typically requires 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8 years with a master’s degree, 5 years with a PhD, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Architecture, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Expert-level proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with technical or task leadership, complex embedded-system architecture, software best practices, and multidisciplinary technical direction.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, hardware interfacing, signal processing, software architecture, and system-of-systems architecture.
- Experience across software design, implementation, testing, documentation, and debugging.
- Experience with low-level processor architectures, operating system design, hardware interfacing, real-time operating systems, POSIX interfaces, and Linux/BSD user and kernel environments.
- Experience with PNT, RF communications, or radar/sensor systems.
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government-issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for security-clearance eligibility.
- Preferred qualifications include existing program accesses, strong interpersonal judgment and discretion, trusted customer or leadership relationships, and experience shaping large projects.
