Base Salary

$146k - $262k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop motion-control algorithms for a safety-critical autonomous driving system.
  • Analyze control-system performance in offline and on-road execution environments.
  • Verify system robustness against disturbances, failure modes, and environmental conditions.
  • Design, implement, integrate, and verify the Aurora Driver’s motion-control system across vehicle platforms.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working on control systems for vehicle platforms in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or related fields.
  • Experience building production-quality C++ code.
  • Experience designing control systems with a solid foundation in control theory.
  • Experience analyzing or simulating nonlinear vehicle dynamics.
  • Knowledge of state-estimation and signal-processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with fail-safe or fail-operational control systems is desirable.
  • Experience verifying safety-critical or autonomous systems is desirable.
  • A master’s or PhD in a related field is desirable.
