Responsibilities
- Embed with IPB advisors, business teams, and product partners to discover and frame high-value AI/ML opportunities.
- Rapidly prototype and build full-stack, end-to-end agentic AI and LLM-powered solutions across backend, data, and lightweight interfaces.
- Own engagements from problem framing and implementation through demonstrations, iteration, and production hand-off.
- Translate business and product needs into funded, well-scoped engineering workstreams.
- Apply engineering, Responsible AI, governance, evaluation, observability, and control standards.
- Feed reusable patterns and learnings into the AIML platform.
- Contribute to GenAI education and knowledge-sharing and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Formal AI/ML engineering training or certification with applied experience.
- Advanced Python and full-stack or generalist engineering ability across backend, data, and lightweight front-end development.
- Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
- Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and/or agentic frameworks.
- Experience taking solutions from prototype to production, including containerisation and cloud-native deployment.
- Ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders through needs elicitation, problem framing, demonstrations, influencing, and trust-building.
- Product mindset, commercial acumen, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to work across multiple problem domains.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent applied experience.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud or GenAI certification, forward-deployed or solutions-engineering experience, financial services experience, AI governance or model validation experience, and familiarity with JPMorgan's internal AI/ML infrastructure.
