Base Salary
$122k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define technical architecture, long-term technical direction, and investment priorities for software platforms supporting engineering, manufacturing, and production operations.
- Architect, design, and develop complex full-stack applications, APIs, services, user interfaces, and data platforms.
- Design distributed systems and scalable backend services for manufacturing and operational workflows.
- Lead major technical initiatives from concept through production deployment across multiple projects, products, and teams.
- Establish engineering standards, coding practices, testing strategies, architecture guidelines, and technical planning processes.
- Drive improvements in reliability, observability, scalability, security, and maintainability while mitigating technical risks.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics, Product, Operations, Quality, and Design Engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers at senior, mid-level, and junior levels through coaching, code reviews, and design guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, with equivalent experience considered.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Extensive experience building and scaling production software systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and modern front-end frameworks such as React.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, API design, and database technologies.
- Demonstrated success leading technical initiatives across multiple projects, products, or teams.
- Strong experience designing highly scalable, reliable, and maintainable software platforms.
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native architectures, distributed computing, event-driven and real-time systems, manufacturing ecosystems, robotics, industrial equipment, and hardware-centric environments.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data-driven optimization applied to engineering or manufacturing workflows.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, technical strategy, architectural influence, and mentorship abilities.
