Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers, program managers, domain specialists, and clients to design, build, and support client-facing applications.
- Gather requirements, analyze data and workflows, and define delivery roadmaps from prototype through scaled deployment.
- Prototype solutions from scratch, validate them with users, and iterate based on feedback and operational results.
- Deploy Palantir software and deliver production-grade data pipelines and applications that support operational workflows and decision-making.
- Write requirements and documentation, communicate progress and recommendations, and drive work through release.
- Work independently, own client outcomes, and lead engineering teams while collaborating across technical levels.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on data engineering experience, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and large-scale data integration.
- At least 5 years of experience with Palantir Foundry building data pipelines, managing datasets, and deploying applications within Palantir Foundry and/or Palantir Gotham.
- At least 3 years of experience with prompt engineering and applied AI techniques within Palantir, including AIP, model deployment, and feature engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- At least 8 years of experience with Python, PySpark, or Java.
- At least 5 years leading an engineering team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; an associate degree requires at least 8 years of work experience, and equivalent work experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of experience.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to executive stakeholders, build client rapport, document technical work, and present trade-offs and recommendations.
- Preferred qualifications include full-stack or front-end development, Palantir certifications, consulting or client-facing experience, DevOps or CI/CD experience, large language model solutions, and TypeScript or JavaScript proficiency.
