Responsibilities
- Own Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for core platform services.
- Scale and harden the core platform using Kubernetes and AWS.
- Drive systemic reliability improvements within a distributed multi-region platform.
- Engineer Kubernetes platforms to ensure security and performance.
- Enhance traffic management and secure communication protocols.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code to manage complex architectures.
- Establish security guardrails and access controls across the platform.
- Lead incident response and drive long-term fixes for reliability issues.
- Mentor and influence engineering teams on best practices.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in managing complex, distributed environments.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and traffic management.
- Experience with security practices including IAM and least-privilege design.
- Excellent communication skills and operational mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in managing large-scale production systems.
