Responsibilities
- Lead technical design for complex backend and platform domains while balancing long-term architecture with practical delivery.
- Drive end-to-end execution, technical leadership, and processes across external teams and organizational units.
- Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes across mission-critical Cortex Platform components.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
- Own incidents end to end by coordinating, managing, and delegating resolution activities and following through on action items.
- Lead or contribute to customer-facing root-cause analyses and communicate complex investigations clearly.
- Collaborate with DevOps, application teams, QA, leadership, and other teams across the Cortex organization.
- Contribute to product roadmap work, low-level database optimization, and technical consultation.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated end-to-end execution, organizational process leadership, and technical leadership.
- Experience leading technical design for complex backend and platform domains.
- Experience with distributed cloud products, Kubernetes, Docker, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, managed services, and GCP.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and investigating complex incidents.
- Python experience is required.
- Preferred: experience incorporating AI into CI, design, production agents, and debugging processes.
- Preferred: knowledge of the cybersecurity field.
