Base Salary
$220k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Review RFCs and advise engineering teams on architectural decisions with security implications.
- Design and build internal security systems end to end, including web application firewall and vulnerability risk management tooling.
- Harden and improve security-related production software components.
- Translate FedRAMP, SOC 2, Texas RAMP, ISO 27001, and CJIS requirements into practical technical controls with Compliance.
- Improve vulnerability monitoring, prioritization, patching, and response across the cloud footprint.
- Contribute to authentication and identity systems, including SSO and SCIM implementations, across cloud and corporate environments.
- Participate in the security team’s on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in cloud security, platform security, infrastructure security, or a related security-focused engineering role.
- Strong experience with AWS, preferably in multi-tenant cloud environments.
- Strong coding ability and experience building and maintaining tooling in Python or Go.
- Experience reviewing system designs and RFCs and providing actionable security guidance.
- Working knowledge of SIEM, vulnerability management, and related security tooling.
- Ability to work across technical design, strategy, and hands-on implementation.
- Preferred experience with FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, Texas RAMP, or CJIS-aligned environments.
- Preferred experience building or integrating authentication and identity systems, including SSO, SCIM, and front-door authentication.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes debugging, operations, or automation.
- Background supporting government, defense, or other highly regulated customers is preferred.
