Base Salary

$100k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and implement backend services and integration platform subsystems.
Translate business goals, product strategies, technology strategies, and customer requirements into backend solutions.
Adapt systems to support evolving design-partner requirements and non-functional needs such as compliance, security, reliability, and disaster recovery.
Build infrastructure foundations that support future growth in headcount, customers, and data volume.
Help establish a robust engineering culture and onboard, support, and uplevel future team members.
Contribute to interview-process iteration, engineering excellence, operational excellence, and recruiting initiatives.

5+ years of professional experience as a hands-on engineer and technical leader overseeing and contributing to multiple backend systems and infrastructure projects.
Expertise architecting, developing, and scaling stateless and stateful backend systems for high-performance enterprise applications.
Proven experience with distributed systems, microservices, and serverless architectures.
Strong knowledge of backend programming languages such as Python and Go, including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful and/or gRPC APIs integrated with frontend systems, data platforms, and third-party services.
Experience with containerization, orchestration, and deployment technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform in multi-cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.

California applicants are offered a stated annual base salary range of $100,000-$300,000; certain roles may also be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
