Base Salary
$100k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and integration platform subsystems.
- Translate business goals, product strategies, technology strategies, and customer requirements into backend solutions.
- Adapt systems to support evolving design-partner requirements and non-functional needs such as compliance, security, reliability, and disaster recovery.
- Build infrastructure foundations that support future growth in headcount, customers, and data volume.
- Help establish a robust engineering culture and onboard, support, and uplevel future team members.
- Contribute to interview-process iteration, engineering excellence, operational excellence, and recruiting initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a hands-on engineer and technical leader overseeing and contributing to multiple backend systems and infrastructure projects.
- Expertise architecting, developing, and scaling stateless and stateful backend systems for high-performance enterprise applications.
- Proven experience with distributed systems, microservices, and serverless architectures.
- Strong knowledge of backend programming languages such as Python and Go, including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful and/or gRPC APIs integrated with frontend systems, data platforms, and third-party services.
- Experience with containerization, orchestration, and deployment technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform in multi-cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
