$198k - $268k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain software architecture, interfaces, versioning, data models, message definitions, and software integration contracts.
- Translate system-level requirements into traceable software requirements, models, design, code, and test artifacts.
- Lead Agile software delivery, including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, sprint goals, reviews, retrospectives, and impediment removal.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor software deliverables and coordinate integration readiness with Integration & Test and Systems leads.
- Ensure unit, component, integration, SIL/HIL, observability, and diagnostic test artifacts accompany software deliveries.
- Lead DevSecOps and CI/CD practices for repeatable builds, automated testing, artifact traceability, and consistent deployments.
- Drive software verification and validation, analyze test results, triage defects, and document integration findings.
- Track velocity, cycle time, quality, and technical-debt metrics to improve delivery predictability and quality.
- Coach and mentor engineers on Agile practices, test automation, CI/CD, code quality, and observability.
- Support risk and issue management, design reviews, and readiness assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- At least 3 years of technical leadership experience in ground and software systems engineering.
- At least 3 years leading a software development or product deployment team technically.
- At least 5 years of DevOps and/or DevSecOps experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with configuration management tools and practices for systems, software, and hardware design.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant engineering, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science degree with extensive related experience, or an advanced MS/PhD degree.
- Preferred experience includes requirements tracing, configuration management, Agile certifications, aerospace or defense systems, cloud-native infrastructure, model-based design and verification, SIL/HIL testing, subcontractor software delivery, real-time embedded software, low-level drivers, network stacks, microcontrollers, FPGAs, physical modeling, simulation, MATLAB, Python, and Jupyter.
- U.S. export control compliance requires a qualifying U.S. Person, and Boeing will not sponsor employment visas.
- Candidates must complete a technical CodeVue assessment and satisfy the company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.
