Responsibilities
- Harden and deploy ML prototypes as reliable production systems operating across cloud, edge, and on-premises factory environments.
- Build and maintain model-serving, inference, training, data ingestion, labeling, orchestration, and lifecycle-management infrastructure.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, drift detection, validation gates, rollback procedures, and model governance.
- Own dataset creation, curation, versioning, experiment tracking, artifact management, and data-quality processes.
- Coordinate with ML research, data engineering, enterprise platform teams, manufacturing engineers, and factory operators to translate requirements into infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for deployed ML systems.
- Write production-quality code, contribute to architecture and code reviews, establish MLOps and secure-data practices, and mentor junior engineers and data scientists.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering or ML engineering roles building production systems.
- Strong production MLOps experience covering data pipelines, model versioning, deployment automation, and monitoring.
- Proven experience taking ML models from prototype to production and maintaining them over time.
- Experience with on-call rotations, production incident management, observability, and systems requiring high availability or low latency.
- Strong Python proficiency and experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience deploying containerized ML services with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Data engineering experience with pipeline orchestration, data quality, and time-series or event-driven data.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
- Preferred qualifications include manufacturing, industrial, OT, edge ML, workflow orchestration, GPU and inference optimization, MLOps tooling, RAG and vector databases, computer vision, IoT and real-time systems, regulated environments, enterprise systems, and eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance.
