Responsibilities
- Engage with Product Owners and Product Managers to understand requirements.
- Design and implement solutions for investment management research and reporting.
- Automate manual processes to improve productivity.
- Empower portfolio management and research teams to build data-driven solutions.
- Build relationships with internal business partners and vendors.
- Provide on-call support and work occasional overtime when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, or business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Application development and support experience with Python, Pandas, NumPy, AWS S3, Step Functions, Lambda, SNS, SQS, and Glue or Apache Spark.
- Strong demonstrable experience in data modeling for relational SQL and NoSQL applications.
- Preferred experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
- Strong understanding of architectural and software design patterns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and interest in architectural and technical documentation.
- Broad knowledge of software engineering and testing methodologies.
- Experience working in an Agile framework.
- Preferred 5+ years of application development and support experience with the listed Python, AWS, and data technologies.
- Cloud-native and AWS development experience is preferred.
- Experience with investment management data and vendors such as Bloomberg and FactSet is preferred.
