Base Salary
$185k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provision and manage cloud, on-premise, and bare-metal infrastructure as reproducible, version-controlled code.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and standardize automated build, test, and release workflows.
- Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes across environments.
- Own observability through metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Design for high availability, graceful degradation, recovery, security, and cost efficiency.
- Identify infrastructure bottlenecks and reliability risks as traffic and scale increase.
- Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
- Build self-service tooling and processes that unblock engineers and reduce operational toil.
- Collaborate with backend, embedded, firmware, and customer-facing teams on reliable end-to-end systems.
- Apply security and access-management best practices across infrastructure, secrets, and deployment pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Experience provisioning and operating production infrastructure through deployment and on-call ownership.
- Ability to turn high-level goals into actionable tasks, schedules, and milestones and deliver on commitments.
- Hands-on AWS experience.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform.
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Comfort scripting and automating in a general-purpose language.
- Understanding of networking, Linux systems, and security fundamentals.
- Programming experience with Go, Java, Python, or Node is a bonus.
- Experience with hybrid cloud, on-premise, or bare-metal fleets at scale is a bonus.
- Background in highly available, mission-critical, real-time, or low-latency systems is a bonus.
- Experience with distributed or clustered data stores such as ScyllaDB or PostgreSQL is a bonus.
- Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 is a bonus.
