Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture of the end-to-end telemetry platform from field and validation data collection through data lakes and insights delivery.
- Drive crash analytics and reliability modeling systems for root-cause analysis, failure de-duplication, and reduced escapes.
- Scale telemetry ingestion and analysis across millions of endpoints and thousands of data points.
- Develop scalable and secure in-field and application telemetry solutions across client, cloud, and enterprise domains.
- Define engineering standards, coding practices, tooling, validation processes, metrics, and predictive models for platform and OEM quality.
- Set technical strategy and lead execution for large-scale software programs.
- Partner with product architecture, validation, quality, customer-enabling teams, OEMs, Microsoft, and third-party telemetry providers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 12+ years of experience; or a master’s degree with 8+ years; or a PhD with 6+ years.
- 10+ years of experience building field telemetry and data collection systems at scale across millions of endpoints and thousands of data points.
- Deep knowledge of Intel client platform architecture and Windows and Linux OS internals, including BSOD, live kernel dumps, machine checks, and event logs.
- Strong software architecture experience with scalable, secure, and resilient high-volume ingestion, storage, and analysis pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with data lake and analytics stacks including Snowflake and Databricks, plus cloud services.
- Applied analytics or machine learning experience in failure classification, bucketing, de-duplication, anomaly detection, and predictive quality trending.
- Experience delivering telemetry-based validation infrastructure for platform onboarding, flighting, and data collection.
- Demonstrated success driving technical direction and execution for large-scale software programs.
- Experience establishing data-sharing partnerships with OEMs, Microsoft, and third-party telemetry providers.
- Excellent communication skills, including presenting complex technical strategies to engineering and business audiences.
- Experience presenting at industry conferences and participating in standards committees.
