Responsibilities
- Define and enforce the overarching software testing strategy, frameworks, and QA processes across software capability teams.
- Manage software test environments, test data, testing-tool qualification, and audit-proof test evidence.
- Oversee V-Model validation and verification, including unit, integration, and subsystem-level testing before hardware integration and flight testing.
- Establish and monitor bidirectional traceability between software requirements, architecture, implementation, and testing.
- Govern defect, deviation, and problem-management processes to ensure findings are tracked, evaluated, and resolved.
- Drive coding standards such as MISRA for C++ using automated static analysis and code-coverage metrics.
- Audit software configuration-management processes, baselines, versions, reproducible builds, configuration indexes, and release packages.
- Provide independent quality-gate approvals and formal release recommendations through the Engineering Change Request process.
- Lead internal software QA assessments and external regulatory-audit preparation, execution, and follow-up.
Requirements
- Proven experience defining and enforcing software testing frameworks and QA processes based on ISTQB standards.
- Deep expertise managing validation and verification phases of the V-Model for complex software systems.
- Hands-on experience with automated static-analysis tools and coding standards such as MISRA for C++.
- Strong background in requirements traceability and coordinating software requirements with test execution.
- Solid knowledge of software configuration-management processes, including version control, reproducible builds, and release auditing.
- Demonstrated capability in defect and deviation management for software findings.
- Defense or aerospace experience with safety-critical software systems is preferred.
- Experience preparing for and leading external regulatory audits and internal quality assessments is preferred.
- Experience with flight-testing operations or hardware-in-the-loop integration environments is preferred.
