Base Salary
$110k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Transform and optimize storage for reactor data and physics results.
- Design and configure CI/CD pipelines for multiphysics analyses.
- Build tools that help reactor engineers visualize, compare, and evaluate reactor designs and physics.
- Integrate simulation tools into analysis pipelines.
- Implement physics kernels to solve new problems and improve existing model performance.
- Develop reactor optimization schemes and statistical experiments to inform design changes.
- Identify and improve reactor-design process inefficiencies that can be addressed with software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of work experience.
- Fluency in Python.
- Proficiency in Git.
- Experience with CI/CD.
- Preferred qualifications include Rust, TypeScript/JavaScript, especially Svelte, experience growing small software organizations, large data collection pipelines, optimization, statistics, design of experiments, GitLab CI/CD, and software quality assurance or testing programs.
- Strong curiosity about nuclear power, fuel-cycle closure, sustainable energy generation, and the ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively, operate independently, and solve open-ended problems.
