Base Salary

$165k - $218k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, and validate advanced capabilities for tracking, sensor and effector management, battlespace optimization, and threat forecasting.
  • Lead requirements decomposition across cross-functional teams and define success amid ambiguity.
  • Develop modeling and simulation frameworks to evaluate algorithmic performance and system capabilities across scenarios.
  • Create test plans, acceptance criteria, analysis tools, and traceability artifacts for system performance and customer requirements.
  • Scope system configurations, scrutinize deployed-system performance, and ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Own systems end to end, identifying and resolving issues across hardware, software, sensors, effectors, and supporting services.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of hardware and software systems engineering experience.
  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience applying model-based systems engineering across a program lifecycle, with tools such as JAMA, Cameo, MATLAB, Simulink, and AFSIM.
  • Proficiency with Python for data parsing, modeling and simulation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Skilled in statistics, AI/ML, requirements, testing, and MBSE.
  • Experience applying engineering standards to engineering processes or requirements.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams and communicating complex technical findings to developers, system leads, and customers.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Familiarity with Linux, real-time and safety-critical software, the software development lifecycle, and command-line tools is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of C, C++, or Rust is preferred.
  • Prior defense, aerospace, naval, field exercise, test event, or experimentation campaign experience is preferred.
  • Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, radar, optics, computer vision, wireless communication, software-defined radios, or networking is preferred.
