Responsibilities

  • Develop and extend physics simulation APIs for robotics learning, including contacts, joints, sensors, and actuation models.
  • Debug simulation instability, nonphysical behavior, and determinism issues in complex robotic systems.
  • Support users and customers by triaging issues from GitHub, external partners, and internal teams.
  • Translate research ideas and physics models into robust user-facing APIs.
  • Participate in code reviews and system design discussions.
  • Contribute to internal and open-source software and engage with robotics industry and research communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive software development experience with Python and deep learning software stacks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX.
  • Strong background in rigid-body dynamics, deformable simulation, physics simulation, or robotics control.
  • At least 3 years of experience with robotics and simulation workflows, including reinforcement learning, imitation learning, motion planning, and trajectory optimization.
