Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable data pipelines, APIs, and endpoints for enterprise data access.
- Develop and enhance Baxter’s Mosaic platform using Python, SQL, Neo4j, Unix/Linux, and modern software development practices.
- Design and implement microservices and architectural solutions that improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Build and maintain RESTful services supporting data access and enterprise applications.
- Use Docker and containerization technologies to improve portability, deployment, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Incorporate data privacy, security, and governance requirements into application and architecture decisions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI tools, and machine learning capabilities to drive platform innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Approximately 8–12 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, application architecture, or related technical roles.
- Strong production Python development experience building APIs, data services, automation, and enterprise applications.
- At least 5 years of experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or a comparable cloud computing environment.
- Hands-on experience with Flask, Gunicorn, SQL, Neo4j, Unix/Linux, and RESTful API development.
- Experience with Docker, Redis, microservices, architectural patterns, and distributed application development.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, security, governance principles, and modern application architecture.
- Preferred qualifications include machine learning and predictive modeling experience, AWS certifications, architecture-related certifications, and an advanced degree in a related field.
- Strong communication, collaboration, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
