Base Salary

$132k - $198k/yr

Responsibilities

Analyze system-level implications of Nuro’s autonomy architecture regarding fault responses.
Define fault response requirements through the autonomy software and hardware architecture.
Drive fault-centric validation concepts from prototype to production.
Interpret simulation and testing results to assess mission capabilities and safety.
Collaborate with autonomy developers to extract metrics for robot readiness in degraded software states.
Contribute to automated evaluation tooling for test log issues.

2+ years of experience in robotics software or a relevant field.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or related field.
Strong programming skills in Python or C++/C.
Experience with software engineering practices in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to think analytically and communicate effectively.
Self-starter with a passion for learning and solving unstructured problems.
Experience in multiple areas such as robotics planning, ML-based evaluation methods, FDIR management, data-driven requirement definition, test coverage implementation, and stress testing.
