Base Salary
$208k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical sales process from discovery through closure and develop multi-year customer strategic plans.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with customer IT leadership, C-suite executives, and business stakeholders.
- Design and deliver customized solution presentations, architectural blueprints, demonstrations, and proofs of value.
- Position Cisco solutions against competitors and convert pipeline into net-new customer wins and revenue growth.
- Coordinate virtual sales teams, Cisco product teams, and regional Gold Partners to support customer and channel success.
- Provide field feedback to product teams and adjust technical and sales strategies to changing market conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related technical pre-sales or systems engineering experience, or a master’s degree plus 6 years, or a PhD plus 3 years.
- Demonstrated pre-sales systems engineering experience owning technical customer relationships and driving deals across the sales cycle.
- Cross-architectural knowledge of Enterprise Networking, Wireless, Catalyst, Meraki, Cyber Security, Cloud, or Collaboration solutions.
- Strong consultative discovery, executive presentation, communication, and business-outcome translation skills.
- Residence in or willingness to relocate to the designated Kentucky territory.
- Preferred: active Cisco or industry-recognized certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or Cloud Practitioner/Architect.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with Cisco full-portfolio architectures, Catalyst/Meraki SD-WAN, Cisco Security/Splunk, Webex, and Cisco Gold/Premier Channel Partners.
- Preferred: competitive displacement experience in mid-market or commercial accounts.

- Starting salary range of $208,200.00 to $264,400.00, with additional performance-based sales incentive compensation for sales-plan employees.
