Responsibilities
- Design and implement low-latency trading systems on Linux with a focus on throughput, reliability, and determinism.
- Build and operate scalable, high-performance distributed systems for global real-time trading workflows.
- Analyze system behavior using packet captures, core dumps, runtime profilers, and system-level diagnostic tools.
- Apply expertise in TCP, UDP, and multicast to evaluate short-haul and long-haul network trade-offs.
- Profile, benchmark, and optimize code to reduce latency and increase throughput.
- Participate across the full software lifecycle, including architecture, debugging, and live trading operations.
- Collaborate with developers, traders, and operations teams to improve system behavior and platform reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional C++/C development experience on Linux, including modern C++ and multithreading.
- Strong expertise in TCP, UDP, multicast, and performance trade-offs in low-latency networks.
- Experience building and operating high-throughput distributed systems in production.
- Familiarity with scalable I/O models such as epoll and io_uring, lock-free structures, and concurrent programming.
- Proficiency with tools such as gdb, perf, tcpdump, valgrind, and wireshark.
- A rigorous, detail-oriented approach to performance troubleshooting and optimization.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership from problem to solution.
- Scripting experience with Python or Bash is a plus.
- Exposure to CI/CD or observability tooling is a plus.
- Prior exposure to electronic trading or exchange-facing systems is advantageous.
