Base Salary
$112k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve features across React frontends, FastAPI backends, and TypeScript/Node.js services.
- Understand user workflows and use cases and proactively identify application improvements.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and Docker-based containerized services.
- Write clean, testable Python and JavaScript/TypeScript code.
- Engage with program leadership, technical stakeholders, domain experts, and DoD users to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation for architecture, APIs, and integrations.
- Contribute to code reviews and testing.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, 3 years with a master's degree, or a PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated full-stack development experience on real-world applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Experience with React, including component architecture, state management, and API integration.
- Experience with FastAPI or a comparable Python web framework.
- Familiarity with Node.js and server-side TypeScript.
- Experience with message brokers such as NATS.
- Working knowledge of Docker for containerized development.
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL database design.
- Ability to understand operational context and translate use cases into software solutions.
- Clear written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Desired qualifications include RF or DoD domain experience, CesiumJS or real-time data streaming, C/C++ and embedded development, MCP/LLM development and integration, RF lab equipment, OpenAI Codex or other coding agents, CI/CD pipelines, web application cybersecurity practices, Kubernetes or other container orchestration, and AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or Google Cloud experience in a DoD context.
Benefits
- Target base salary range is $112,000-$179,000, with potential eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus.
- The candidate should be local and able to work onsite at the Red Bank, New Jersey location.
