Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, debug, and maintain customer-facing features in eBay’s core iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Contribute to My Garage, parts discovery, personalized recommendations, international expansion, and other focused-category initiatives.
  • Independently deliver well-defined features while collaborating with experienced engineers on larger projects.
  • Work with Product, Design, Backend, and mobile engineering partners to translate requirements into polished user experiences.
  • Integrate backend services and participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
  • Explore AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies to improve engineering efficiency and code quality.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional native iOS development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Understanding of common iOS architectural patterns including MVC and MVVM.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and understanding request/response workflows.
  • Familiarity with Swift concurrency and async/await.
  • Experience developing, debugging, testing, and maintaining production-quality mobile features.
  • Ability to independently deliver scoped development tasks while collaborating on complex initiatives.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, code reviews, and modern software development practices.
  • Strong communication, proactive problem-solving, and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Preferred: experience with UIKit, GraphQL, Android or backend development, consumer-facing applications at scale, Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, and CI/CD workflows.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of C$118,000–C$157,500, excluding potential target bonus and restricted stock units.
