Base Salary
$160k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with AHV, Core Data Path, Infrastructure, and New Technologies teams to integrate new hardware capabilities.
- Design, develop, and maintain hardware abstraction and integration layers connecting Nutanix NX platforms with the broader software stack.
- Define and implement management and control-plane interfaces supporting health monitoring, fault detection, diagnostics, and remediation.
- Troubleshoot hardware virtualization and hardware-software interaction issues, lead technical triage, and guide partner teams.
- Lead cross-functional investigations and resolutions for customer issues in field deployments.
- Automate diagnostics, issue reproduction, root-cause analysis, and regression testing.
- Build reliable, observable, and scalable integration services for clusters spanning hundreds of hosts.
- Participate in design reviews, integration testing, and improvements to platform reliability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in a similar role at a product company.
- Comprehensive understanding of x86 and ARM server architectures, storage, networking, operating systems, and server virtualization technologies.
- Expertise in backend services for infrastructure management, monitoring, and servicing.
- Proficiency in Python, Rust, and object-oriented programming languages.
- Familiarity with Linux and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of hypervisors and virtualization technologies including KVM and ESXi.
- Familiarity with hardware technologies and hardware-software integration interfaces.
