Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product to translate business goals and requirements into achievable technical roadmaps.
- Solve complex, ambiguous, cross-cutting engineering challenges across products.
- Define and champion engineering standards, practices, and architectural principles.
- Mentor engineers at all levels through technical guidance, code review, and standards-setting.
- Make key technology decisions and evolve platforms, tooling, and development practices.
- Design, implement, and maintain core security features.
- Lead the technical evolution of cleaning and optimization products.
- Integrate macOS system capabilities to deliver seamless native user experiences.
- Partner with Designers to build elegant, functional macOS applications.
- Identify and lead high-impact product, platform, and engineering-practice improvements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building polished, production-grade applications on Apple platforms and owning complex features end to end.
- Strong full-stack architectural knowledge.
- Deep proficiency in Swift and extensive hands-on experience with AppKit and/or UIKit.
- Strong Bash scripting skills; Python experience is a plus.
- Expert understanding of macOS internals, system architecture, and frameworks.
- Ability to write secure code and design secure APIs, preferably in a security- or privacy-critical domain.
- Fluency with Apple technologies, guidelines, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI workflows into real-world software development.
- Excellent communication and alignment-building skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- English proficiency at C1 level or above.
- Ability to set technical direction, make pragmatic trade-offs, work independently, and mentor engineers.
