Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Android applications deployed to the Play Store and used in production.
- Work across product, internal platform, and client integration projects.
- Write readable, robust, and tested software using sound software engineering practices.
- Collaborate with people from other cultures on socially conscious public health, agriculture, and food-security projects.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience building Android applications deployed to the Play Store and actively used in production.
- Experience with Kotlin for Android development and basic Kotlin coroutines.
- Experience with Android Jetpack.
- A strong background in software engineering, version control, readable code and tests, robust design, and basic data structures and algorithms.
- Working proficiency of at least C1 in spoken, written, and typed English, including typing at least 45 words per minute.
- Logical reasoning, clear communication, emotional resilience, social intelligence, and willingness to work with people from other cultures.
- Bonus: prior experience leading a software engineering team, domain knowledge or interest in sustainable development goals, computer vision experience, or gRPC experience.
