Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Size, design, deploy, and optimize VMware Cloud Foundation Operations environments.
- Define and enforce cloud operating-model standards for RBAC, tagging taxonomy, and capacity management.
- Develop VCF Operations dashboards, groups, alerts, actions, costing models, and related components.
- Produce HLD/LLD documentation, runbooks, and architectural decision records.
- Provide technical governance, expert advice, and mentorship to delivery teams.
- Advise customers, infrastructure teams, executives, and project leaders on architecture, technical options, risks, and implementation strategies.
- Maintain client relationships, lead technical discussions, and communicate complex technology recommendations.
- Travel to CDW locations or client sites and work beyond regular shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or an equivalent field.
- At least 10 years of IT infrastructure experience, including at least 3 years in large-enterprise consulting, or 14 years of total IT experience including 10 years of IT infrastructure experience and 3 years in large-enterprise consulting.
- At least 7 years of enterprise virtualization or private-cloud architecture experience.
- Hands-on expertise deploying VCF 9.0 Automation and VCF 9 Operations components in standalone and high-availability configurations.
- Experience with VCF Operations dashboards, alerts, custom groupings, costing models, licensing, and sizing.
- Experience with SDDC Manager BOM management and asynchronous patch workflows.
- Ability to mentor engineers, maintain trusted client relationships, research complex technology solutions, and present recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
- VMware Certified Design Expert or VCP-VCF certification is preferred.
- Automation experience with Python, Ansible, or Terraform is preferred.
- Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or federal environments is preferred.
