Responsibilities

  • Generate test cases by reviewing requirements and design documentation and liaising with subject matter experts, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Design, write, and execute assigned functional, non-functional, and integration tests across software products, interfaces, and network and infrastructure configurations.
  • Document test results, defects, progress, risks, and issues.
  • Investigate issues with suppliers to identify root causes and resolutions.
  • Analyse large datasets and supplier test evidence to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
  • Identify improvements to new and existing processes.
  • Estimate and plan immediate tasks and manage their completion.

Requirements

  • ISTQB or ISEB Foundation Certificate in software testing.
  • Ability to attain and maintain SC clearance.
  • Ability to work onsite two to three days per week in Whiteley, Hampshire.
  • Excellent understanding of the testing lifecycle and functional, non-functional, and integration testing.
  • Proven experience developing software solutions using first- through third-generation languages, such as Ada 83/95, C, and C++.
  • Experience delivering solutions on Linux-type operating systems and using development environments for first- through third-generation languages.
  • Experience creating test cases from requirements and design documents.
  • Proven experience using Waterfall and V-model development models.
  • Preferred experience with Agile development techniques such as Scrum, real-time or safety-related software, SysML, UML, Java, Python, Apache, large-scale complex integration programmes, and service-oriented architecture.
  • ATM knowledge is advantageous but not required.
  • Good communication, time-management, organisational, troubleshooting, and independent-working skills.
