Responsibilities
- Generate test cases by reviewing requirements and design documentation and liaising with SMEs, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Design, write, and execute functional, non-functional, and integration tests across software products, interfaces, networks, and infrastructure.
- Document test results, defects, progress, risks, and issues.
- Investigate issues and work with suppliers to determine root causes and resolutions.
- Analyse large datasets and supplier test evidence to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
- Identify improvements to new and existing processes and manage assigned tasks to completion.
Requirements
- ISTQB or ISEB Foundation Certificate in software testing.
- Ability to work onsite two to three days per week in Whiteley, Hampshire, and attain and maintain SC clearance.
- Excellent understanding of the testing lifecycle and functional, non-functional, and integration testing.
- Proven experience developing software solutions with first- through third-generation languages, including Ada 83/95, C, or C++.
- Proven experience with Waterfall and V-model development models and Linux-type operating systems.
- Experience creating test cases from requirements and design documents.
- Preferred experience with Agile/Scrum, real-time or safety-related software, SysML/UML, Ada, C, C++, Java, Python, Apache, large-scale integration programmes, and service-oriented architecture.
- ATM knowledge is advantageous but not required.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, time management, organisational, and independent working skills.
