Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain software development framework and shared libraries for backend engineers.
Implement customer-focused abstractions to simplify and standardize feature offerings.
Ensure performance, automation, and standardization of gRPC services.
Foster an understanding of long-term backend engineering infrastructure needs.
Contribute to technical decisions with design justification and collaboration.
Communicate requirements for backend development framework offerings.
Produce professional documentation and diagrams for clear communication.
Manage and resolve complicated technical problems and incidents.
Support and maintain current infrastructure offerings for high service availability.
Develop strong working relationships with Infrastructure, Security, and stakeholders.
Stay updated with current developments and best practices in the domain.

At least 2+ years of software engineering experience with large scale backend systems.
Strong proficiency in a modern tech stack, such as Go and gRPC.
Experience building shared libraries and frameworks for large organizations.
Experience refactoring legacy codebases and decommissioning unused logic.
Ability to maintain a high bar for quality and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
Ability to balance business needs with technical solutions.
Experience scaling backend infrastructure.
