Base Salary
$184k - $385k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement production-grade authentication services, access brokers, secure proxies, and key-management infrastructure.
- Partner with infrastructure and research engineers to embed security into high-performance compute clusters and AI model training and deployment environments.
- Develop automation and detection tooling to identify and mitigate risks across large-scale cloud and on-premises environments.
- Drive initiatives involving line-speed encryption, machine identity, and network isolation for emerging AI workloads.
- Lead or participate in design reviews and threat models and ensure systems meet strong security and operational standards.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, Rust, or C/C++ and a track record of shipping and operating high-reliability distributed services.
- Experience building or operating critical security infrastructure such as authentication services, service-to-service proxies, certificate systems, or key-management systems.
- Deep understanding of security principles, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.
- Expertise securing large-scale cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, GCP, multi-cloud networks, and cloud-agnostic system design.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and service mesh security, plus authentication and authorization standards including OIDC, mTLS, and SPIFFE/SPIRE.
- Ability to identify and address security gaps through automation and tooling and deliver scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and security-risk assessment skills.
