Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical contact for customer and internal software issues affecting mature radar systems.
- Maintain, compile, and test legacy source code on current hardware and simulation systems.
- Modernize build environments by migrating legacy systems, such as from Maven to Bazel, and integrating them with GitLab CI/CD.
- Analyze and resolve software issues directly or coordinate with domain experts across Thales.
- Manage compilation, testing, and release builds of updated software packages for customers.
- Investigate undocumented legacy systems and recover technical knowledge from older codebases.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of proven C/C++ software engineering experience in a Linux environment.
- Experience with build automation and configuration tools such as CMake, Bazel, Maven, and Make.
- Strong interest in DevOps practices, build systems, and continuous integration tooling.
- An investigative approach to resolving broken builds, dependency issues, and legacy infrastructure problems.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration across customer support, Services & Support, and specialized engineering teams.
- HBO or WO diploma in technical informatics, computer science, or a related field.
- Possession of a Dutch passport.
- Extensive experience as a Software Engineer or Software Integrator is desired.
